Dear Boy Child.
Silenced from birth.
Forced into masculinity mantra
Smiling whilst suffering
Because boys don't cry.
May you find joy soon!
Your body, a patch of thousand scars
On your heart is a thousand stories
Written in blood and dirt
But you must appear strong for men are strong.
May you find expression.
Molested.
Abused.
Violated.
Defiled.
Yet forced to be silent, after all 'you enjoyed it'
May you find justice soon.
On your frail shoulder you carry your world
A thousand pains shoot through your being
But what's manhood without pain, they say.
Even as your knees wobble.
May you find peace soon.
You're not alone boy child.
Your struggles are real boy child.
Your pains are felt boy child.
Your shame is shared boy child.
As you sow seeds from your body the world has doomed.
Sharing love from broken fountains
"A man is to love" but does he need same too?
The patriarchy says "don't talk about it"
For once a man is born till he meets his Chi, his life is an unending tales of brokenness. And he must take it all and be a man, be brave, be strong.
Yet we know you're tearing.
May you find love soon.
See your blood in every prints your foot takes in moving forward.
May you find peace soon.
Here, or thereafter.
